Deer Disease Spreads Into Macon County An epidemic: of a peculiar blood disease, attacking deer, has spread from tbc? Pisgah National Forest game preserve into one .of the state game refugees in Macon county, the department of conserva tion and development was advised. E. G. Kugler, who is in charge of the Asheville office of the game and inland fishing division, report ed several deer found dead in Ma con county of the same malady that killed more than 100 deer in the Pisgah game preserve. What may be the last games .of the season in Franklin will be played next Sunday afternoon. E'ranklin is scheduled to meet Bilt more in the first game, which will be followed by a contest be tween Clark's Chapel and High lands. Thirteen Sunday schools organiz ed enrolling 44 teachers and 028 scholars, (five schools in Macon county), 10,321 approximate atten dance at Sunday schools, 77 schools visited while in session, seven evan gelistic meetings conducted (three in Macon county), 12 Daily Va cation Bible schools conducted en rolling 300 children, (five in Ma con county), 100 professions for Christ, IS young people taken' to Bible conference in Kentucky (six from Macon county), two prayer meetings established (one in Ma con county), one Young People's society organized, 12 enrolled in teacher training course (six from Macon county), 127 enrolled in home department, reaching those unable to attend Sunday school, by providing a quarterly for home study, 2,617 visitations to homes. Campbell-Cunningham Reunion Held Sunday Approximately 40 descendants of the Campbell-Cunningham clan and several invited friends gathered at Arrowood Glade Sunday to cele brate their annual reunion. Preceding the delicious picnic lunch, the crowd spent the morn ing in chatting and renewing old acquaintances. The Rev. J. A. Flanagan, pastor of the Franklin Presbyterian church, and the Rev. I. L. Rob erts, pastor of the Franklin Meth odist church, made brief talks fol lowing 'the lunch. Gus Leach was master of ceremonies. The following officers were elect ed to serve for the ensuing year: John F. Cunningham, president, and Mrs. Lon Campbell, secretary.
