Huggins on North .Eighteenth street. Dr. James M. Howard, pastor of the First l'resbyterian church, officiated. Tin bride was given in marriage' by Dr. Huggins, and Mrs. Huggins was niatrwi of honor. Neil Mc Glamery, of Murphy, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. '1 he wedding took place before an improvised altar. A sleeveless bolero trimmed with . souUich braid in matching color was worn over the high neckline waist. Her veiled hat and other accessories were of navy . blue, and she wore a shoulder cor sage of bride's roses and tuberoses. Mrs.. Huggins wore a peasant type dress, the full graceful skirt being in navy with a blouse of royal blue, with white coin dots. With this she wore a red leather belt and had navy accessories. Later Mr. and Mrs. McQamery left for a motor trip through Florida and the Carolinas. For traveling, Mrs. McGlamery wore a tailored dress in teal blue with navy accessories. Mrs. McGlamery is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Shearer, of Fellsmere, F"la. She attended loc al schools and was graduated with the class of 1936 from St. Lucie county high school. She attended the Western Union Training, school in Bloomfield, N. J., and for the past three years has been man ager of the Western Union office in Umatilla, F"la. Mr. McGlamery is the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. McGlamery, of Asheville. He attended the Anthony Wayne School of Com merce in Fort Wayne, Ind., and is connected with the Nantahala I'ow er and Light company of ' Franklin. He is a member of the Masonic lodge and . holds the office of worthy patron ' in the Order of Eastern Star chapter in Andrews. Mr. and Mrs. McGlamery are residing in the Wright apartments on West Main street in Franklin. OL1VER-DERISO Mrs. Koy Mashburn, of Frank lin Route 1, has announced the marriage of her sister, Miss Amel ia Oliver, of Franklin Route 3, to Wilbur Deriso, of Americus, Ga. The wedding ceremony was per formed in Clayton, Ga., on Sunday, August 20, with Judge R. C. Ramey, officiating. Only a few close friends were in attendance. The 'bride was dressed in a navy blue crepe dress with white accessories. She is the daughter of Bert Oliver and the late Bertha Fouts Oliver. . ' Mr. Deriso, has been stationed in 'the CCC camp at Aquone for several .months. Mr. and . Mrs. Deriso left im mediately following the ceremony for Americas on a two weeks' wedding trip. WILBUR DERISO Miss Nettie Hurst entertained with a miscellaneous shower on Wednesday afternoon at her home, "Woodhurst Farm," on Franklin Route 3, honoring Mrs. Wilbur Deriso, the former Miss Amelia Oliver. The Hurst home was attractive ly arranged with quantities of summer flowers. About 50 guests of the honoree called during the afternoon, leav ing many Lovely and useful gifts, consisting of linens, pottery, dishes, cooking utensils and quilts. Dills, of Car toogechaye, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Ruth, to Roy Southard, also of Cartoo gechaye, the ' wedding ceremony being performed in Clayton, Ga., on Sunday, September 10.
