The subject for the meeting was home beautifying by refinishing old furniture. Mrs. Florence Sher- rill gave an expert demonstration of every step 1 in refinishing old wood. The varnish was removed, the wood scraped and .sandpapered, and the new finish applied. Printed directions .for all types ot eco nomical home treatment of wood were distributed. Mrs. F. E. Mashburn, president, presided and made a brief talk on the work, and the club joined in a number of songs and the class prayer. Mrs. J. W. C.
