George Cabe was honored on his
85th birthday. All his life "Uncle"
George has lived in' Macon coun
ty. He now lives with his daugh
ter, Mrs. Youell Bradley and Mr.
Bradley at the old Cabe home
place where his parents lived, dur
ing the Civil War. Mr. Gabe re
calls many interesting arid '.unique
experiences which haJpened in his
life .as a small boy. Among'-the
guests were six of his-' children :

Dies In Toledo
Mr. and Mrs. George Love (col
ored) cf the West's Mill commun
ity received a message from their
daughter, Viola Love Buckson in
Toledo, Ohio, telling of the death
of her daughter, Nellie Buckson.
Nellie Buckson, 9, died at the
Mercy hospital in Toledo Ohio, on
Monday about 12 o'clock, following
an illness ot only a tew hours.
She belonged to the Reading club
in school, ' president of the Moth
er's Pearl Missionary Society and
member of the Junior Board of
Sunday schools, and was well liked
