The attractions -of the carnival include: A beauty contest, spook house, bingo parlor, cake walk, and a booth for apple bobbing. The money collected will be used to finance the Junior-Senior 'Bani-quet. REV. A. R. MORGAN'S SISTERS HERE FOR WEEK Mrs. John Barr of Charlotte,. Mrs. Ben E. SILER APPOINTED ON ANTIQUITIES COMMITTEE A Western North Carolina branch of the North Carolina Society for the Preservation of Antiquities, Inc., was formed at a meeting at the George Vanderbilt hotel last Monday! An advisory committee was nam ed to recommend officers for the branch; It is composed of Mrs. Sadie S. Patton of Hendersonville, Mrs. F. L. Siler of Franklin, George W. McCoy of Asheville and Mrs. R. N. Barber of Waynesville, vice-president of the state group. Genral purpose of the group is to preserve old homes, old letters and other antiquities. The group was of the opinion that its first major project should be to seek some action in regard to develop ment of the. museum in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Among the state officials attend ing were Col. Joseph ' Hyde Pratt of Chapel Hill, president; Mrs. Barber, and Mrs. C. A, Gosney pi Raleigh, secretary-treasurer. B. T. U.
