T THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1941 FINAL REPORT JR. RED CROSS County's Young People Raise Total of $76.10 Mrs. Lola P. Barrington, chair man of Macon Chapter Junior Red Cross, and Mrs. Hubert Wardlaw, . Roll Call chairman, submit the fol lowing report : ' Fi.fty-two elementary and 17-high school teachers have enrolled their class rooms in the Junior Red Cross to date; 2,900 children, have enrolled, total amount, collected $76.10. This is above any previous Roll Call. Both" teachers and pupils have been very responsive, and Mrs. Barrington and -Mrs. Ward law wish to express, through the Press, their appreciation to the principals and teacher-sponsors in the school for their splendid co operation this and previous Junior Ked Cross Roll Calls. There are 1 a few. schools who have gotten their supplies but have not made their reports. These, are asked to turn in their .reports as early as possible so we cam. make our final report to headquarters. The two rooms in high school that raised the most money were Mrs:. Mane P. Stewart's room.oO, and Mrs. rhihpGreen's room, $3.20. The Elementary rooms leading were Mrs. Virginia ..Ramsey, $2,50 and Mrs. Barrington, $2 JO. The money given to the Junior Ked Cross will be used locally and nationally for child welfare. We wish to express our appre ciation to Mrs. Johnson, editor of the Franklin Press, for her very ' generous , and enthusiastic support pf this work, also we want to thank the American Legion Aux iliary for their donation of $10.00 to the fund.
