The couple will make their home at 230 Whit mire street, Brevard, where Mr. Davis is employed. RECITAL AT THEATRE BY MRS. HIGGINS' PUPILS The music pupils of Mrs. Harry Higgin ' gave a recital at Macon Theatre last Sunday afternoon that was greatly enjoyed by the audience. Many showed promise and talent" in the rendition of their numbers. A varied program was presented. CLASSES ENJOY CHRISTMAS PARTY The Primary children of the Franklin Methodist church enjoyed a Christmas party Monday after noon given by the teacher of that department, with 35 young folk attending, They were greeted by a lovely tree lighted with colored lights. Many gifts and other favors were exchanged. ' Mrs. Dick Jones delighted the group by her readingg of "The Night Before Christmas.' The singing of '-'Silent Night'' and 'Away in a Manger" added much to the Christmas spirit. " The teachers who were hostess es at the party were : Mrs. Harry Thomas, Miss Mildred Roper, Mrs. Zeb Conley, Mrs. James Ballard, Mrs. Carl Cabe and Mrs. Dick fanes. . 1 P. T. A. HOLDS INTERESTING MEETING On Monday night the PAT met at 7 :30 in the school auditorium and many of the parents and teach ers of "the pupils were present. Tht fathers were in the ascendancy for the first time, due to the meet ing being held at night. Mr. Philip Green led the devo tional. The Franklin Choral So ciety rendered two numbers, "Beau tiful Savior", and "Away in a Manger." Those in the audience joined in singing "Silerot Night''. Sol Sanders gave a comprehen sive survey of world events. Using a globe, he pointed out important points related to present-day hap- pings, giving reasons as to their relative importance in the war and its probable outcome. An interesting talk was given by Dr. J. L. Stokes on growth and development to the "Weeds ot our Children" the theme , of the year. He also led a discussion. The hospitality committee served delightful refreshments during the social hour. . '..."."','. The bride, who came to Fort Bragg with her parents a year ago last September from Cincinnati, attended Ward Belmont, " Nash ville, Tenn., and was graduated from the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.
