Eleanor Bridgman and Mama Cobb sang Jesus" Loves Me" in Chinese. As abundance of popcorn, cookies, oranges and candy for the chil dren, was daintily arranged on a table decorated with holly. Potts, Miss Nancy Potts and the Misses Gertrude and Dorothea Harbison MARETT'S 56th ANNIVERSARY ANNOUNCED OVER RADIO A radio announcement of the fifty-sixth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs, S. T. Marett, former Atlantians, was made over WSB on the morning of Decem ber 17th. Mr. and Mrs. Marett celebrated the occasion very quiet ly at their home here, receiving congratulations and calls from many of their friends. Mrs. Marett is the former Miss Leila Lewis, of Calhoun, Ga. She and Mr. Marett were married at the home of her parents at Cal houn in 1885. Mr. Marrett was in business in Atlanta for a great many years; They came to High lands in 1923, and for a number of years Mr. Marett was connect ed with the bank before going into his present real estate and insurance business. . Mr. and Mrs. Marett spent the day following their anniversary visiting scenes of Mr. Marett's childhood in and around West minster, S. C. They have the good wishes of their friends here and elsewhere for many more hap py anniversaries. MRS. GILBERT HOSTESS TO CARD CLUB Mrs. E. R.4 Gilbert was hostess to the Wednesday. The home was lovely with Christmas decorations and candlelight NATIVITY PLAY EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE An excellent performance . was given by the . Highlands high school . dramatic club and the glee club in their presentation of the Nativity play, Venite Adorem- us, at the school theatre before a large audience on December 17. The stage cast included approx imately twenty players. The an nouncements were made by Nancy Potts and the prelude given : by Martha Richardson. The musical program began with a piano duet. The Arrival of Santa Claus, played by Barbara Zoellner and Marie Neely, Mrs. Abbott, di rector of the glee club, was pi anist for the remainder of the evening.
