Funeral services 'for , Jacob B.
Ledbetter, 68, former logging loco
motive engineer and a resident of
Lyman, since 1908, who was struck
and instantly killed by a car near
the Baptist church at Lyman, on
Saturday night were held at
o'clock on Tuesday afternoon. The
Rev. Mr. Gray was in-charge of
the rites, which were beld in tht
Baptist church in Lyman, and Dur
ial was in the cemetery there.
Mr. Ledbetter, born May 27, 1873,
at Wavnesville. N. C, was
Spanish-American war veteran. He
is survived by two daughters, Airs,
Tuanita Moody of Sedro-Wooley,
and Mrs. Ruth Daggett, Skyko-
mish : two sons, Ralph of Aberdeen,
and Mack of Seattle, ten grand
children, four brothers.. W. C. of
Franklin Route 2; T. C. of Cullo
whee, Bob, Horrace", Mrs. George
Irvin. and Mrs. Wells of Canton
The Veterans of Foreign Wars,
the American Legion and the
Spanish-American War Veterans
also conducted military rites.

Shirley Ammons
Dies Of Injury
Shirley E. Ammons, 33, a native
of Macon county and a resider
of Hamilton, Wash., for the past
12 years, died in a hospital in that
city a few weeks ago from injuries
received while at work at the Ly
man Timber ) company camp at
Baker Lake.
Mr. Ammons is survived by his
step-father, Charles Moss; a step
sister, Mrs. Leah Loop, and three
step-brothers,. Glenn, Ed and Har
old Moss, of .Hamilton, and a sis
ter, Mrs, Esther McCoy, in llorth
Carolina. '
