Miss Brandon Corpenimg of Charlotte is visiting her sister, Mrs. Henry Christy on Cartoogechaye. Infant Found Dead In Bed Joyce Mae, five weeks old daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Pass more, was found dead in bed at the home on Upper Iotla, Satur day morning at 4:30 o'clock. Funeral services were held Sun day afternoon at 3 o'clock at Olive Hill school on Iotla. Burial was in Wilkes cemetery oh Iotla. Schools Closed Monday On Account Of Snow The Franklin school and othtr schools in the county were closed Monday on account of the snow that began to fall after midnight and continued through the morn ing hours. Busses could not safely run before the scrapers could get in their work. It was a beautiful, soft s,nOw of several inches but began to melt almost immediately. However the youngsters got in some good sledding Monday morn ing. On Tuesday only one school bus was able to operate, accord ing to J. H. Finley, due to the condition of the roads.
