Girl Scouts Begin Spring Work The Girl Scouts met Thursday, March 12, at the scout house., Re freshments were served outside be fore the meetir.-g began. The meet ing was called to order by the newly elected patrol leader, Eliza beth Wasilik. The laws and motto were reviewed and the 4th law was emphasized: "Be a Friend to all and a Sister to Every Other Girl Scout." As we all know, March 12 is the Girl Scout's birthday and this year is the 30th anniversary of girl scouting. Mrs. Thompson talked to us an national defease and Juliette Lowe (founder of the Girl Scouts). She brought us a birthday cake which we all en joyed. Money was collected for the Juli ette Lowe Fund. Tin cans and other similar articles will be gath ered for national defense. Plans were made for a short bicycle trip, Friday, March 27. It was decided to take a picnic lunch along.
