Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Bryant an
nounce the marriage of their
daughter, Ida, to Fred Grant on
Friday, March 28, at the Baptist
pastorium. The Rev. C. F. Rogers

Both the bride and groom were

After a short wedding trip the
couple is at home at the Bryant

Franklin announce the marriage of
their daughter, Christine Dills to
Douglas Holsonbuck, also of Frank
lan. Mr. .amd Mrs. Holsomback
were married in McCaysville, Ga
on February 22, 1942.
Shortly after their marriage they
left for Washington, D. C. where
they plan to reside.

There will be an Easter egg hun
for the children of t he Methodis
Sunday school qn Saturday after
noon at 4 o'clock. Each child is

ed from a six-weeks stay in West
Asheville, where she was called on
account of the illness of relatives.

Dr. Frank T. Smith is out again
after being confined to his home
for several days with a cold.
Harry Higgins will spend Easter
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Higgins. Ruth Higgrros, a
student at Brenau college, will
spend the Spring holidays with

Major and Mrs. Frank Carmiack,
who have been spending the wint
er in Tampa, Fla., are expected to
return to the Franklin Lodge and
Golf Course on April IS.
Mr, and Mrs. H. H. Hirsch of
Franklin Terrace Hotel, made a
business trip to Atlan.ta this week.
They are redecorating the first 1
floor of the main building and
rooms in the annex and making
other improvements in preparation
for the coining season.

Mrs. I. T. Peek, who has been
living in Wilmington for the past
year where Mr. Peek is engaged
in defense work, has arrived in

whom she was visiting, were called
to Franklin the first of the week
on account of the serious illness
of their brother, Paul Seay.
Derald Ashe expects to leave at
an early date to undertake defense
work at Newport News, Va.
Miss Virginia Tessier, who is
attending the School of Nursing
of Vanderfoilt University, spen her
spring holidays with her mother,
Mrs. Reba Tessier. .

Episcopal church in. Seattle was the
scene of a quiet wedding February
27 when Miss Anita McClure,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee H
McClure of Bremerton, became the
bride of Robert P. Walker, son of
Grover P. Walker of Bayview,
Wash.
The Rev. Walter G. Horn read
the impressive rites before a group
of relatives and close (friends at
5:30 o'clock in the afternoon.
The bride chose a dress of heav
enly blue with corsage of white
orchids and steffinocis. Miss Ruth
La Fontaine, the bride's only at
tendant, wore a suit with corsage
of Gardenias and Tailsman rose
buds, Harry Atlas acted as best
man for the groom. Ushers were
Lee Walker and Lee McClure, Jr.
brother of the bride. The bride's
mother wore a. dress ofNavy blue
with matching accessories and
corsage of gardenias and rosebuds.
Following the ceremony a lovely
wedding dimner was served in the
Marine dining room .of the Hotel
Corrento to the following guests:

The wedding was to have been
in May bat the date was set ahead
because of war plans.
For traveling the bride wore an
emerald green dressmaker suit, a
tan topcoat with brown accessories.
After a short trip down, the coast,
ir. ana Mrs, Walker will reside
at the Paramount Arms Apartment,
