Jennings of Jankson , ville, Fla., and Highlands died in Angel's hospital in Franklin Satur day, June 1.3th, following a long illness. She had been in High lands only a few weeks when she became acutely ill and was taken to the hospital. Interment was in (Richmond, Kentucky. Colonel and Mrs. Jennings have been among Highlands' most inter esting summer people since building their lovely summer home "Puck rup," on Satulah mountain. Mrs. Jennings wrote beautiful poetry and her poems written here were ex pressive of her deep love for the mountains, bveral of her poems have been published in the Franklin Press and the Highlands Maoonian. Wiley of Highlands have dnnoumced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Frances Wiley, to Richard Veascy of Houston, Texas, at Fort Bragg on May 15th. Mrs. Veasey was graduated from Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, Md..,. in June .1941, and entered U. S. Army ser vice at Fort Bragg last August as a second lieutenant. The bride groom is a member of the medical corps at Fort Bragg.
