POTTS HOSTESS TO SATI LAH CLl'B Mrs. J. E. Potts was hostess at a meeting of the Satulah Club Friday afternoon at Fair view inn. Plans were made at this meeting for a keno party and cake walk to be held at the school lunch room soon after the middle of the month. PRIZE CONTEST ENDS WITH PARTY AT LODGE The Christian Endeavor Bible quiz contest, which has been under way for the past three months, closed Saturday night with a party at Kanonah Lodge, when the losing team, under the leadership of Harry Holt, Jr., entertained the winning group headed by Richard Thompson. Twenty members enjoyed the occasion. Personal Mention Mr. and Mrs. James H. Harkey of Atlanta spent a few days at their home in Lindenwood Park the past week, looking after some early garden work. They expect to return in a few weeks lor a longer stay. Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Cook returned Friday from a visit in Statesboro and Savannah, Ga. In Statesboro, they were guests of Mrs. Howell Sewell. On the return trip, they stopped in Augusta for a short visit with Mrs. A. J. Salinas at her home, and were delighted to find her looking unusually well. Dr. and Mrs. William Weston, Jr., of Columbia, S. C., and Dr. Weston's sister, who has just re turned from England, were week-end guests at Hotel Ed wards, coming up for a spring inspection of the Weston sum mer home on Satulah Mountain. Pvt. Wayne Hicks has return ed to duty at Camp Pickett, Va., after a two weeks' furlough here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hicks. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Oglesby of Miami, Fla., who have been spending some time in Mexico, returned to Highlands Sunday for the season and at present are occupying their cottage on Cullasaja drive. Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Dick man of Kuskin, Fla., spent sev eral days at the Potts house the first of the week conferring with O. W. Harbison Named W arderi Of Church Of Incarnatrcn The congregational " supper meeting of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, held Thurs day night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tudor N. Hall, was attended by approximately 25 persons. The supper was served buffet style from a beautifully appointed table. Miss Sarah Hall presided over the coffee and tea service. A mission committee compos ed of Mr. and Mrs. Hall, Thom as C. Harbison, Mrs. W. S. Davis and Mrs. H. G. Story was nam ed at the business meeting fol lowing the supper.. Mr. Harbison was elected warden to succeed Mr. Hall, who asked to be relieved of the du ties of this office; Mrs. Davis was reelected church cleric; and Mrs. Story was reelected treas urer. The Rev. A. Rufus Morgan, church rector, announced that Lenten services will be held at 7:30 each Thursday evening, be ginning March 14. 2 Benefit Shows Net Highland* PAT Total Of $69 The Carlisle Brothers show, given at Highlands School the ater last week under the spon sorship of the parent-teacher association, netted the associa tion $69 for its 30 per cent share of the proceeds. Two performances were re quired to accommodate the 610 | ticket purchasers. The show j proved to be one of the most successful ever held here at this season of the year. Drain (retaining the liquid) and cut in K? inch cubes. Melt fat, blend in flour and add liquid gradually, stirring until thick eened. Add liver, celery, olives, seasonings, and chopped eggs. Put in greased casserole. Cover with biscuit dough. Bake in hot oven (425 deg. F.) until crust is done. Serves 6.
