JHS Justice Gets 2 Huge Cats Below River Dam Elmer Justice, of Franklin, Route 3, Tuesday was exhibit ing two big fish he had caught that morning with a trot line, Just below the power dam on the Little Tennessee river. One, a blue cat, weighed 12 pounds; the other, a channel cat, tipped the scales at 8 pounds. Each measured 24 inches in length. "I saw it advertised in The Press". cepted. E. Baldwin, the incum bent, so far is unopposed for the Democratic nomination for chairman of the board of com missioners. Four Democrats seek the two posts as members of the board: W. W. Edwards, incumbent, John W. Roane, Harley Stewart, and W. C. (Bobi Sheffield. No candidate has announced for coroner. That office is now held by Democrat George Wal lace. John H. Dalton is the one announcement so far for sur veyor. William Parrish, another Democrat, is the present sur veyor. The five present members of the county board of education are Gordon Moore, of Franklin, Johnny Cabe, of Otto, Ed Byrd, of Tellico, Frank Browning, of Etna, and C. J. Anderson, of Highlands. None of these five ? nor any one else ? so far has announced for membership of the next board. Press Ads Pay Plan Iotla Box Supper At 8 P. M.
