Episcopal Auxiliary Has District Meet In , Highlands Approximately 45 delegates from the various churches in the first district attended the spring meeting of the Episcopal Woman's auxiliary at the Church of the Incarnation in Highlands April 5. The meeting opened with the celebration of Holy Communion. m conducted by the Rev. A Rufus Morgan Mrs. Mark Jenkins, dis trict director, presided at a business session and talks were made by Mrs A. B. Stoney. dio cesan president, and Mrs. Wil liam Gordon, of Spray. The Rev. Dudley Stroup, minister in charge of the Church of the Redeemer and of Trinity church, i in Buncombe county, was among those attending. Luncheon was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Baty on Satulah mountain. A similar meeting for Negro Auxiliary members was held at St. Cyprian's church. Franklin. April 7. with Mrs. Stoney in charge, and Mrs. Gordon as the speaker. Black marketeers continue to cloud the farm feed picture in this state. Two Texas Men Opsn Cashier* Motor Firm Under the firm name of Cash iers Motor company, W. B. Berry and L. B. Bloys. of Dal las. Texas, have opened a gen eral repair and welding shop at Cashiers Valley, in the build ing formerly occupied by the West garage. Mr. Berry and Mr. Bloys were attracted to this particular location, they said, because It offers a . wide field for their line of work, including acetylene and electrical weld ing. They sawed their way Into the building through a second- floor window and, aft er, looting a box In the safe of $1,400. cleaning out a refrigera tor of food, they made their way out by sawing through a ground -story rear door. They completely overlooked $7,000 in an Inner compartment of the safe.
