This the 16th day of Sep 'Old Faitful', Still Spry, Observes Her 24th Birthday She May Look Her Age, But She Certainly Doesn't Act It "Old Faithful" has Just had a birthday. Yes, sir, she was 24 last Sat urday. And if you doubt it, when you look at her, or when you see her run, just ask John Moore He has all the dates down in the Family Blue Book. Age, of course, is a matter of comparison. Twenty-four for a man, for example, is young; but it's certainly elderly for a horse. And when it conies to an auto mobile, it's so ancient as to be almost unoelievable. But Mr. Moore vouches for the fact that he and his father, the late J. T Moore, then in the merchantlle business here, bought "Old Faithful", a Model T Ford, September 21, 1922? and she's been running ever since She had been bought new in April of that year by Derald Ashe, who sold her to W. T. Moore and J. S. Conley, who in turn sold her to John Moore and his father. "Old Faithful", though a fa miliar figure to residents here, attracts not a little attention from visitors, for not only is she probably the oldest automo bile in the county in operation, but her "figure" definitely be trays her origin as dating from the'" automobile Ice age, or thereabouts. She still gets 20 miles to the gallon on long runs, Mr. Moore says, and uses very little oil. And, most important, she lives tember, 1946. A. R. HIGDON, Clerk Superior Court Macon County.
