AT MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER

B. Patton and Mrs Earl Justice

shower at Kelly's Tea Room
Wednesday night of last week,
honoring Mr. and Mrs. Erwin
Patton, whose marriage was a
social event of September 10.
Mrs. Patton is the former Miss
Elizabeth Slagle, of Franklin.
George B Patton greeted the
guests, and receiving in the
living room and dining room
were Miss Kelly, Mrs George
Patton and Mrs. Justice.
The bride's table, where the
gifts were placed, was at one
end of the big dining room and
was covered with a hand-made
lace cloth, wLth a centerpiece of
snap dragons, mums, and fern.
Autumn leaves and fall flowers
were used throughout the house
At the opposite end of the
dining room was a table covered
with a hand-made lace cloth,
centered with a huge punch
bowl in a bed of evergreens, and
surrounded by assorted cakes.
Approximately 150 of Mr. and
Mrs. Patton's friends called dur
ing the evening, leaving attrac
tive gifts.
