Classes will be suspended at the Franklin school Friday to permit the local teachers to at tend the meeting. Principal George H. H1U has announced. Mrs Pearl Hunter, unit presi dent, who presided reported on the state leaders' conference held in Raleigh in August, Miss Nora Moody made a report on federal aid to education, and J. J. Mann reported on legis lative activities. The auditorium was attract ively decorated by the social service committee, which also served refreshments. Mrs. C. C. Daniels, underwent an operation on Sunday night for a ruptured appendix, at St. Luke's hospital in New York. Mrs. Daniels, with her husband, son and daughter spent several weeks at her old home place, "Dixie Hall," here this summer. MRS. DANIELS IMPROVES Friends here have learned that Mrs. C. C. Daniels, who under went an operation for ruptured appendix In New York 10 days ago, is Improved. Mr. and Mrs. Daniels spent the summer in Franklin.
