president of the Macon County
chapter of the United Daugh
ters of Confederacy at a meet
ing held last Friday night at
the home of Mrs Lester S.
Conley on Harrison avenue, with
Mrs. W. M. Parrish as associate
hostess.
Mrs Parrish, retiring presi
dent, presided and Mrs. Herbert
E. Church and Mrs. Harold Cabe
read very appropriate articles
for the occasion.
