Miss Lois Woody, of Franklin,
has announced the marriage of
her sister, Miss Louise Woody,
to R. L. Hall, both of Franklin,
Route 3. The ceremony was per
formed December 19 Clayton,
Ga.
Mrs. Hall is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Grover Woody,
and Mr. Hall is the son of Mr.
and Mrs Furman Hall, all of
Franklin, Route 3. They are
making their home at present
with the groom's parentis.

MISS MELBA DILLS WEDS
RILEY WATTS, OF GNEISS
Mr, and Mrs. Roy Dills, of
Gneiss, have announced the
marriage of their daughter, Miss
Melba Dills, to Riley Watts, son
of Mr, and Mrs. William Watts,
also of Gneiss. The ceremony
was solemnized January 12 at
11:30 a. m. at Clayton, Ga.
The bride was attired in a
suit of medium blue and wore
black accessories. ?
Both Mr. and Mrs. Watts re
ceived their education at the
Pine Grove school.
Accompanying the couple to
Clayton were Mrs. Nella Mae
Dills, sister of the bride, and
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Holland,
cousins of the bride.
The couple will reside at
Gneiss.

Mrs. Walter Burch, of East
Franklin entertained at her
home last Sunday with a sur
prise birthday dinner for her
husband and for J. B. Pender
grass. Other invited guests were
Mrs. J. B. Pendergrass and small
son, Bart, and Mr. and Mrs. W.
A. Steele. Mr. Burch entertained
the guests in the afternoon
with his violin.
