The Rev. Oscar Nix had charge of the service. Pallbearers were Isaac Alex ander, Everett Lombard, Patton Bradley, Cecil Smith, sons-in law of the deceased, and Zeb and Joe Bumgarner. Mrs. Bumgarner, wife of the Rev. Frank Bumgarner, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cecil Smith, of Cashiers, Mon day night. She had been ill for sometime. Mrs Bumgarner was a mem ber of the Whiteside Baptist church and had beefi a resi dent of Cashiers all of her mar ried life. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Isaac Alexander, Mrs. Cecil Smith, and Mrs. Everett Lombard, of Cashiers, and Mrs Pat Bradley of Alexandria, Va.; two sons, Claude and Franklin Bumgarner of Cashiers; and 20 grandchildren. Mrs. D. P. Grant left Sun day to spend two weeks visiting her mother, Mrs. J. W. McClel lan, at her home at Concord, her daughter, Mrs. O. M.
