ceremony solemnized at the rec
tory of St. Monica's Catholic
church in Palatka, Fla., Janu
ary 25.
The bride is the granddaugh
ter of J. E. Cabe, 01 Otto
The ceremony was performed
by the Rev Father W. C. Beck
er.
The couple will make their
home in Jacksonville.

Franklin Tuesday. On a high

season, they came here after a
stop in Highlands, and went
from Franklin to Hayesville and
Murphy.
Allen Siler, whose work is in
West Virginia, spent the week
end here with his family.

dicitis.
Mrs. Maggie Gibson, of Leath
erman, underwent an operation
at the Angel clinic Sunday.
Harmon Gnuse, who has been
ill at his home with a sinus In
fection, is able to be out again.
John Archer has returned
from a fortnight's vacation in
Florida.
Dr. Frank Justice recently
has moved his family here from
Murphy. They will occupy the
new residence just opposite
Angel hospital.
Cpl. Carl H. Evans, whose last
station was Fairbanks, Alaska,
is at home for a visit with his
wife, Mrs. Margie Evans, and
other relatives. He and his fam
ily are at the hoqje of his
grandfather, Andy Evans, of
Cullasaja. Cpl. Evans, who has
teenlisted in the army expects
to be here until the middle of
March, on terminal leave.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Howard and
little daughter, Sarah, of Dil
lard, Ga? and Mr. and Mrs
Carlton Chesnut, of Norfolk, Va.,
spent the week-end here with
Miss Nettie Hurst. Mrs. Howard
and Mrs. Chesnut are Miss !
Hurst's nieces.
A. C. A. Now Has
Pasture Seed On
Hand For Farmers
Robert Fulton, chairman of
the Macon County A. C. A., has
announced that the association
now has pasture seed available
for farmers who are seeding
new permanent pasture or who
are reseeding pasture. He said
that the government is paying
the larger per cent of the costs
of these seeds, and the farmer
the remaining cost.
Farmers wishing to obtain
seed through the AAA purchase
order plan should come by the
AAA office in the Agricultural
building and order them, Mr,
Fulton said.
Farmers who have not placed
order for lime and phosphate
may continue to do so.
In 1938, 406,000 cords of pulp
wood were used in North Car
olina.
