June 26 'Youth For Christ' Rally To Be Held Friday At Tabernacle A Macon County "Youth for Christ" rally will be held at Friendship tabernacle tomorrow (Friday) night at 8 o'clock, with students and faculty from the Toccoa Falls Bible college, Toc coa, Ga., assisting in the serv ice. A mixed chorus of 28 voices, as well as quartets, trios, and duos, will take part on the musical program. The Rev. Nathan Penland, young evange list, will be the speaker. The general public is invited. Friendship tabernacle was built under the direction of the late A. A. Angel, in cooperation with friends of all denomina tions, as a place where people of all churches may come together in the interest of the religious life of the community. It is under the control of the minis ters of the county. Funds recently have been ob tained for repairs to the buiid ing, and interested persons have expressed the hope that it may become a religious center for the county. Henry West Given Dinner On Occasion Of Birthday Henry D. West was honored last Sunday at his home with a birthday dinner, for which a number of members of his fam ily from out of town were pres ent. Present were his son, Will West, and Mrs. West and fam ily, of Sylva; his son, Lee West, and Mrs. West; of Asheville, his daughter, Mrs. Robert T. Keen an, Mr. Keenan, and their son and grandson, the latter Mr. West's great-grandson, all of Asheville. Plan Box Supper, Cake Walk At Holly Springs Plans for a benefit box supper and cake walk at the Holly Springs school Saturday night at 8 o'clock have been announced. The Corbin string band will provide music. The event is sponsored by the Holly Springs baseball team. Mr. and Mrs. George G. Tes sier and two children left Fri day morning for Baton Rouge, La., where they plan to make their home for the next few months. This fall Mr. Tessier plans to enter Tulane univer sity. . Mrs. R. S. Jones and two children, Richard and Margaret, left Wednesday for a visit with Mrs. Jones parents, Mr. ' and Mrs. M. J.
