The only attendants were Miss Thelina Raby, sister of the bride, and Miss Joanna Welch. Mrs. Maxwell is a graduate ol the Franklin High school, class of 1945 Mr. Maxwell re ceived his education in the Mount Holly schools and served 32 months in the army air forces. During his 11 months overseas, he made 32 combat missions over Germany. After a wedding trip to Washington, D. C., the couple will make their home in Mount Holly, where Mr. Maxwell is employed. Coggins, of Sylva, has announced the marriage of her daughter, Miss LaVerne Clouse, to Colonel Howard, of Dillard, Ga., and Pontiac, Mich. The ceremony was performed in Bancroft, Mich., February 22, by the Rev. R. R. Tewilliger. Miss Virginia Cunningham, of Pontiac, was made of honor, and Jack Hunter, of Knoxville, Tenn., served as best man. Others present for the quiet ceremony included Mrs. Arnold Clark, of Pontiac, and Mrs. Harry Bui-gin of Asheville. The bride was ^attired in a three-piece gray suit with black accessories.
