Mrs. Jones is the former Miss Elizabeth Johnston, of Franklin. Mrs. Frank I. Murray has re turned to Franklin after spend ing four weeks with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Murray, and their infant son, born May 15. Mr, Murray, chief pharmacist's mate in the navy, and Mrs. Murray live at Forest Hills, Long Island, N. Y. Mrs. Frank B. Benbow, of Winston-Salem, arrived here Tuesday for a visit to Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Porter. The late Mr. Benbow and Mrs. Benbow and family made their home in Franklin for a number of years. This visit is her first here since the family moved away, more than 30 years ago. Mrs. Jim S. Gray, who is vice president of the State Federa tion of Home Demonstration 1 clubs, spent Tuesday and Wed- i uesday in Boone, where she brought greetings to the district home demonstration meeting. While away, she also visited her daughter, Mrs. Ora Berkman, and Mr. Berkman at their home in Asheville. Births Mr. and Mrs. Bob Ledbetter of Newport News, Va., formerly of Franklin, have announced the birth of a son, Bobby William, Jr., at a Newport News hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Raby, of Franklin, Route 3, have an nounced the birth of a daugh ter, Lenna Blanche, May 17 at the Maternity hospital, Clay ton. Ga.
