MENDENHALL (County Aftnl) A number of events impor tant to the farm men, women, boys, and girls of Macon Coun ty will be held during July and August. All of them will pro vide both education and en tertainment. A farm and home tour will be conducted here Wednseday, July 23. The tour will leave the Agricultural building promptly at 9:30 a. m. Every one is invited. The week of July 28 all 4-H 'club boys and girls will have an I opportunity to attend 4-H camp I at Swannannoa. 4-H club mem ! bers who wish to attend this I camp should contact the coun ty or home agent immediately in order that camp reservations and transportation may be ar ranged. Club members will take their food, bed linen and toilet articles. The actual cost will be only $5, which will cover camp fee, transportation and other expenses such as milk ice and etc. All club members should meet at the Agricultural building not later than 9:30 o'clock Monday Morning, July 28. We will return to Franklin on Saturday, August 2. about noon. All 4-H club boys and girls are urged to register at the coui^y agent's office at the earliest possible date if they ex pect to go to camp The 4-H Short Course will be held at N C. State college in Raleigh the week of August 18. Two delegates, one boy and one girl have been elected from each club, 24 delegates from Macon County. It is hoped that all delegates will be able to attend this short course, as it will be most valuable to them. The re gistration fee at State College will be $10. Transportation will be paid from funds that have been raised by the clubs and by interested citizens. We will leave the Agricultural building Monday morning, August 18, by 7 o'clock and will be back to Franklin late Saturday evening, August 23. The week of August 25 is Farm and Home week at N. C. state college.
