NEWS PEOPLE I I Personal Mention Miss Dorothy Jones, who has been visiting her uncle and cunt, Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Jones, in Wakefield, R. I., has return ed home. Mr and Mrs. C. R. McCor mack and young daughter, Sal ly Dee, of Atlanta, Ga., spent last week here as the guesu of Mrs. Zeb Conley and lamily. Carl D. Moses, who is at tending summer school at Pea body college, Vanderbilt uni versity, Nashville, Tenn , spent Thursday and Friday at home. Mrs. R. S. O'Mohundro and Mr. and Mrs. A. B. O'Mohundro returned last Friday night from Wilmington, Va., where they at tended the funeral services for R. S. OMohundro. Mr. O'Mo hundro, who died suddenly at his home here Monday night, was buried at Wilmington Wed nesday afternoon. Mrs. Waterman Deal, of St. Petersburg, Fla, has been spend ing several days here with her rister-in-law, Mrs. T. J. Johns ton. Mrs. Deal is attendance assistant for the schools of Pin ellas county, Fla. The Rev. R. L. POindexter, l?astor of the Shooting Creek Methodist circuit, Clay County, was in Franklin Saturday vis iting friends and to attend the Farmers Federation picnic. Mr and Mrs. Otis Hurst spent the week-end visiting Mrs. B. J Hurst at her home, Franklin, Route 3, and other relatives. John Wasilik, A1 Merick, and Joe Ashear of Franklin spent the past week-end attending a Catholic retreat at Belmont Abbey. They returned home Sun day night. Earle H. Thompson, of Shreve port, La., is hei;e visiting his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Weimar Jones. Mr and Mrs. Otis Hurst, of Gastonia. were here last week visiting Mr. Hurst's aunt, Mrs. B. J. Hurst, of Franklin, and other relatives. Mrs. Reby Tessier and Mrs. J. S. Sloan left Wednesday for Winston-Salem, where they will visit Mrs. Tessier's daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Brown low Addington. Mrs. H. T. Horsley left Wed-, nesday for Winston-Salem, where she will visit her daugh ter, Miss Betty Horsley, em ployed there. Sisk, of Bakers ville, formerly of Franklin, is here for a visit with relatives in Macon and Swain counties. I Mrs. Hermie Bryant left Tues day on a trip to the High Point lurniture market. I Mr. and Mrs. Ross Zachary, | of Charlotte, formerly of Frank lin, and two children are on a motor trip through the West. , While away, they will visit Mrs. Zachary's relatives in Washing ton and otjjer far western states. Mrs. Zachary is the former Miss Katherine Slier. J. Frank Ray, former Frank lin attorney, who is at present employed by the Department of Commerce, Washington, D. C., spent several days here this week visiting friends. Mrs. Bass Brown and Mrs. Arthur Bramlett and the Misses Louise, Ruth and Barbara Brown, of Dillard, Ga., Route 1, are on an extended motor tour of the United States. He was admitted to Angel hos pital Saturday morning. Miss Clyde Berry, who recent ly suffered serious Injuries in an automobile accident, was dis charged from Angel hospital Sunday. Mrs. Homer Green, Jr., and baby daughter, left Tuesday aft ernoon for East Point, Ga., where they will Join Mr. Green, who recently purchased a home there. Bill Reece, seaman second class, left Monday for Boston, where he is stationed Seaman Reece has just spent a 10-day furlough visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reece, at their home in West Franklin. Green Announces Plans For Reunion On Sunday T. L. Green, of Franklin, Route 1, recently announced that the 2nd reunion of the T. M. Green and Louisa Shook Green family will be held at the home of T.
