Mrs. Beacher Mills and young daughter, Zona Maria, of Bel mont, are visiting Mrs. Mills' mother, Mrs. Tallie Tallent, and family, of Franklin, Route 3. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Rogers are here from the State of Washington for a visit with Mrs. Rogers' parents, Mr and Mrs. C R. Cabe, of the Otto com munity, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Emory Hunni cutt started work this week on construction of their new home on Sunset drive (just off Bid well street). G. L. Houk, county superin tendent of public instruction, spent the first part of this week in Raleigh attending a confer ence of school superintendents. He returned Wednesday after noon. . i Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Hoover, and two daughters, of Coving ton, Va., are visiting Mrs. Hoov er's parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Miller, at their home in the Buck Creek community, and other relatives in this section. Mrs. Hoover is the former Miss Laura Miller. Miss May McDowell, of Clay ton, Ga., is spending sometime with her cousin, Mrs. Leon T. Sloan, and family at their home, Franklin, Route 3. Mrs. J. T.
