West and daugh ter, Ruth, this week. 11 Rogers Children Are Together First Time In 29 Years Eleven children of the late ? Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Rogers held i reunion at the home of Mr. ind Mrs. Ed Bradley of Otto, August 24. This was the first time since 1918 that all the children had seen able to be together, and the second time since they were small children. The eldest mem ber of the family is 72 years old and the youngest 44. The eleven children are: Jim Rogers of Hopewell, Va., Mrs Lizzie Kingsmore, of Buffalo, S C.,' Wilson. Rogers, of Prentiss, Lawson Rogers, of Prentiss, Miss, Virgie Rogers, of Asheville, Mrs. Cora Noland, of Waynesville. THAT AINT HAY Two farmers were discussing the poverty of the hay crop, owing to unseasonable weather. Farmer Snagg: "Mine was so short it was hardly worth cut ting." Farmer Snapp: "Short? A31? 4tc-fll8 Mrs. L. J. Young Dies At Her Ellijay Home, Aged 74 Mrs. L. J Young, 74, died at 1 1 o'clock Sunday morning t at her home in the Ellijay com munity, following a six months' illness. Funeral services were held at the Mountain Grove Baptist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Lee Craw ford, pastor, conducting the service. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Fox, Frank Dills, Elmer Taylor, Bob Taylor, Fred Fox and Paul Taylor. Mrs. Young was the former Miss Eunavista Parker, daugh ter of the late J. W. and Lu cilla Moss Parker. Born June 23. 1875, she was a life-long resi dent of Macon County. She was a member of the Mountain Grove Baptist church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lydia Hawkins, of Greer S. C., Mrs. Florida Hawkins, of Woodruff, S. C., Mrs. Inez Smith, of Gastonia, and Miss Annie Young, of Ellijay; three sons, Luther, and Louin Young, both of Ellijay, and Jack Young, of Norton; two sisters, Mrs. Parker Blackburn, of Norton, and Mrs. Nettie Crouch, of Den ver, Colo.; five brothers. Creed, James, Arthur, and David Park er, all of Denver, and Sain Parker, of Sylva; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bryant funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
