STORY KENTUCKY GIRL TO WED Ll'PTON RAINWATER Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maurice Walters, of Shelbyville, Ky , have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Barbara Walters, to Lupton Rainwater, of Pensacola, Fla., and High lands, the marriage to talct place December 20 in Shelby ville. The bride-to-be attendee Margaret Hall school, Versailles Ky., and was graduated from Sullins college, Bristol, Va., lat er attending the University of Kentucky at Lexington. Her sor ority is Delta Delta Delta Her mother is the former Miss Rob erta Bair of Waverly, Kans and her only brother is James Kingston Walters of Shelbyville. The groom-to-be attended At lanta public schools and Emory university. He is a member of the Chi Chi fraternity. He serv ed four years in the war train ing service and In the army air transport command on overseas duty. He is the son of Charles Veazey Rainwater, of Pensa cola and Highlands. His late mother was the former Miss Sally Brown Edmondson, of An niston, Ala. His brothers are Veazey Rainwater, Jr., of Beau mont, Texas, and Brown Rain water and Crawford Rainwater of Pensacola, Fla. Mr. Rainwater is attending the University of Kentucky at Lexington, where the young couple will make their home. BRIDGE LUNCHEON HONORS MRS. JOHN H. C. PERRY Mrs. Wilton H. Cobb and Mrs. Eliot Caztarc were hostesses at a four-table bridge luncheon last Wednesday at the home oi Mrs. Cobb, honoring Mrs. John H. C. Perry, whose marriage wa: an event of late September. Spencer. She expects to be gone until about the first of April. Mrs. Carl Zoellner left Satur day morning for a four weeks' visit with her son and daughter in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Zoellner, in Homosassa Springs, Fla. Capt. and Mrs. Val S. Pierson and small daughter, Marjorie Lynn, of Columbus, Ga., and Mrs. Pierson's sister, Miss Janet Tanner of LaGrange. Ga., were week-end guests of Captain Pierson's father, S. P. Pierson, who returned with them to Columbus to spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Kenyon B. Zahner had as their week-end guests Mr. and Mrs. John C. Henley, III, and their two children of Birmingham, Ala. Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Cook and daughter.
