MISS EVA LEE VANHOOK WEDS BRANSON BARRETT Miss Eva Lee Vanhook, daugh ter of Mr and Mrs. Marvin R. Vanhook, of Franklin, Route 2, became the bride of Branson Barrett, son of Mr. and Mrs Orover Barrett, of Cuiiasaja, December 7 at Clayton, Oa. J. C. Green, justice of peace, per formed the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of the Franklin High school. Mr. Barrett is a veteran of World War II, having served three years In the army, part of which time was spent In the European theatre. The couple will make their home at Cuiiasaja. Personal Mehtion Mr. and Mrs. B. L. McGlam ery left today for Fort Pierce, Fla , where they will visit rela tives. They will return to Franklin January 5. Henry Reece, of Greeley, Colo., arrived here last Friday to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Fowell Menden hall and two sons, of Athens, Ga., are spending Christmas with Mr. Mendenhall's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. 8. W. Mendenhall. Merrltt Preston, of Cleveland, Ohio, Is here to spend the holi days with Mrs. Preston and their daughter at the home of Mrs. Preston's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Conley. Allen Siler, of Eckman, W. Va., arrived Friday to spend a fortnight with his family. Miss Madeline Kielen, who has been here for the past seven months, connected with the Van Raalte plant, has returned to her home at Dunkirk, N. Y. Mrs. William Swan and two children left Saturday to spend two weeks with Mrs. Swan's sisters in Eustis and Orlando, Fla. Emory Hunnicutt, who is do ing title work for the U. S.
