Mrs. Meta Lewis, who has
been visiting her brother and

Clinton Johnson, has gone to
Vvarsaw, Ind., for a visit with
her son, Frank Lewis.
Mr. and Mrs. Mack Patton,
of Murphy, and Mr. Patton's
brothers, Andrew and George,
both of N. C. State college,
spent the holidays here with
their father, R. A. Patton, and
Mrs. Patton, their sister, Miss
Helen Patton, and their aunt,

to their home in Cleveland,
Ohio, after a stay of several
months with Mrs. Preston's

Miss Ruth Bryson
Wins Two Honors At
Tennessee School
Miss Ruth Bryson, a student
at Elizabethton College of Com
merce, Elizabethton, Tenn., re
cently has been given two hon
ors at that institution. She was
placed on the dean's list, a
scholastic honor, for the fall
quarter, and has been crowned
as "Miss Elizabethton College
of Commerce". The latter honor
was awarded her, by student
vote. Miss Bryson having been
chosen from six contestants.
