VIRGIL POTTS' FUNERAL HELD Disabled World War 1 Veteran Diet After Years Of Illness Funeral services were held Monday, January 5, at the Snow Hill Methodist church lor Vir gil T. Potts, 54, of the West's Mill section of Macon County. The Rev. a P Grant and the Rev. C. C. Welch conducted the service and burial followed In the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Clyde N. West, T. M. Rickman, Fred Mc Gaha, Carr Bryson, Troy Potts, and Paul Potts. Mr. Potts was a disabled vet eran of the first World War and had been sick for the past 25 years. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Cora Potts; and one sister, Mrs. J. C. Sorrells, and one brother, George A. Potts, both of Franklin, Route 2. Potts funeral 'home was in charge of the funeral arrange ments. Jennings Child Dies; Funeral Held At lotla n Daniel Jennings, two months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jennings, of Frank lin, died at the home of his parents January 7 at 8:30 a. m. The child had been sick for ten days. Funeral services were held at the lotla Baptist church January 9 at 11 a. m., with the Rev. Arvil Swafford conduct ing the service. Survivors include the parents; one sister, Linda; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Jennings, of Franklin, Route 2; and the maternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ed wards, of Franklin, Route 3. Funeral arrangements were handled by Bryant funeral home. In the Manual of Motor Ve hicle Mechanical Inspection Re quirements, the section pertain ing to licenses reads: "Vehicle registration card and Driver's License shall be pro duced. Vehicle Registration Card shall check with Serial, | Motor and License Number on vehicle. Operator's and chauf feur's license card shall be legi ble and for the current period. Vehicle license plates shall be displayed in the intended and lawful manner and shall be securely fastened to eliminate swinging. They shall be legible, , visible and present an entirely unobstructed view. If any driver whose last name starts with A or B takes his ve hicle In for an inspection, and that driver did not renew his license within the given period from last July 1 through De cember 31, his car or truck will be disapproved until he gets a new driver's license. The vehicle registration card is especially important, in view of the fact that it often helps to recover stolen cars.
