C Klser, has found that use of : half-acre of ladino clover pas ture for grazing has cut fee< costs for his poultry by approx imately one-'ourth, report Wright F Parker, assistant county agent for the State col lege extension service. v Mr. Klser seeded two pou id; of Ladino on half an acre lr September, 1947, for the pur pose of grazing his ismall poul try flock. He began grazing the plot with 150 hens on March 1. In May he took the hens off to allow the Ladino to get a little more growth. He is now usin^ the plot for 150 pullets which are three months old. The hens which Mr Riser keeps have made an outstand ing record. They are New Hamp shire R. O. P. candidates. They began laying early in Septem ber. 1947, and have averaeed better than 65 per cent produc tion since that time.
