Vt'.erans Body Urges Supervision Of School Pr-gram By Its recent protest to the Veterans administration against what it charged is a lack 3 1 adequate supervision of educa tion and training of former ser vicemen under the GI Bill, the North Carolina Veterans com mission led the ilray in pointing out the dangers of exploitation in the nation-wide veterans pro gram. Without proper supervision, the program Is in danger of being discontinued or drastical ly curtailed, the North Carolina commission said. "We have been justifiably j proud of the entire veterans program in this state up to I now", the commission wrote North Carolina senators and congressmen, R. S. Hulme, of Asheville, the commission's dis- , trict officer, reported. "'How- ; ever we view with much con cern the misuse and deteriora tion which inevitably will result without supervision of some kind." | The commission urged the Veterans administration "to re- | view its decision to abandon the . responsibility 1 of supervision of j the on-the-job training and ed- | ucational program .... and | that such responsibility be re- ] sumed immediately".
