Following the ceremony, an informal reception was held. The bride's table was overlaid with a lace cloth and centered with a three-tiered wedding cake. She wore an orchid corsage. Miss Jessie Ruth Stewart, lor mer schoolmate of the bride, was maid-of-honor. She wore grey with black accessories and a corsage of pink rosebude. Paul Ray Hawkins, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Bill McCoy, Bill Francis, James Hawkins and Jack Barton Akin. Following the ceremony, an informal reception was given by Mr. and Mrs. Bill McCoy, at the home of Mrs. J. H. McCall.
