EMORY HUNNICUTT tMcwijr Editor, Telephone 211 I I MISS VIRGINIA RAMSEY MARRIED IN WASHINGTON Misa Virginia Christine Ram sey, of Washington, D C , and Franklin, daughter of Mrs. Rob ert Ramsey, of the Telllco com munity, and of the late Mr. Ramsey, became th? bride of liubert Harvey Brunner, son of Mrs. Joseph Brunner, of Seattle, Wash., and of the late Mr. miner, in a ceremony solemn ized at 7:30 p. m. August 28 at at. Al ban's Episcopal church, Washington, D. C. Dr Charles T. Warner offi ciated. ' The church wps decorated with vases of white gladioli and large white dahlias. A program of nuptial music was rendered preceeding and cueing the ceremony. The bride, who was given In rr.-irriage by her friend, M. Hol lis Kannenberg, was attired in a portrait gown of candlelight satin, fashioned with a fitted bodice, with lace draped for a decollete effect below the high, sheer yoke, which was offset by a bouffant skirt and picked up with uhlrrlng to ?how lace hoop skirted petticoat. Her veil wa( of heirloom lace and illusion Miss Nancy Ramsey, ol Tel Uco, was her sister's mal<l of honor, and Miss Emma Lou i Hurst, a cousin of the bride, of Franklin, Miss Dotte Likely, of : Savage, Md., Miss June J~Ut|of Washington, and Miss Grace Noffslnger, of Roanoke, Va., were bridesmaids. Jay Doyle Gooch, of Urbana, 111., was best man, and Thomas Allan Murrell, of Urbana, Ern est Maier, of Schafihausen, Switzerland, Robert Stanley Jac obson, of Urbana, and Peter H Bosco, of Newark, N. J., were the ushers. After the wedding, a reception was held at the bride's Wash ington apartment, following which the couple left by air on a wedding trip to Canaua. Mrs. Brunner Is a graduate of the Franklin High school, Asheville Teachers college, ant. the Washington College of Law, Washington. Mr. Holyfield attended the Thomasboro high school and served three years in the armed forces. He is now employed by the Royal Typewriter Company in Charlotte.
