Highlands Club Hears McKelvey On Telephone Future Russell McKelvey manager of the Western Carolina Telephone Co., Franklin, was an interest ing speaker at the Highlands Rotary club last week, talking on what the telephone company hoped to do toward Improving its service. Mr. McKelvey said that within a year or so the company hoped to install auto matic or dial telephones, stating that the number of Highlands telephones had been increased to approximately two hundred, and that within the next five years the number was expected to reach five hundred. The Highlands club also an t nounced the gift by George W. Woodruff of name and identi fication badges to each of the club members. Library Trustees Hold Year'* Last Meeting And Accept Budget The last trustees' meeting of the Hudson Library Association lor the year was held Monday afternoon at the library, with Mrs. J. A.
