Nolen an nounced Tuesday the marriage of her daughter, Miss Carolyn Nolen, to the Rev. J H. Bren dall, Jr., pastor of the Central Methodist church, Kings Mount ain, and until recently pastor of the Franklin Methodist church. The ceremony was performed Monday evening at 8 p. m. at the home of Bishop Costen J. Harrell, of Gastonla. MISS MARY SMITH BECOMES BRIDE OK ROBERT FRAZIER Miss Mary Ellen Smith, daugh ter of John Smith, of the Car toogechaye community and the late Mrs. John Smith, became the bride of Robert Haywood Frazicr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Van Frazier, of Franklin, in a double ring ceremony at tht home of the bridegroom's par ents, October 2 at 6 p. m. The Rev. D. P. Grant per formed the ceremony. The bride wore a light blue gabardine suit with black ac ccssories to match. Her cor-, sage was of pink carnations. { Only members of the Imme diate families and close friends attended the wedding. An informal reception fol lowed at the home of the bride groom. The house was decorated throughout with arrangements of fall flowers and evergreens. The table was covered with a hand made lace table cloth and centered with a three tiered wedding cake topped with a minature bride and groom, flanked with crystals holding lighted tapers. Both the bride and groom at tended the Franklin high school. Following three years of overseas service in the United States Army, Mr. Frazier is at present employed by the Nan tahala Power and Light Com pany. The couple have recently re turned from a honeymoon trip through the southern states and are making their home near Franklin. MISS BLANCHE CRISP WEDS EDGAR YONCE OCTOBER 1 Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Crisp, of Franklin, Route 3, have an nounced the marriage of their daughter. Miss Blanche Crisp to Edgar Yonce, son of Mi and Mrs Granville Yonce u Franklin. The wedding ceremony was performed In Clayton, ua. o the Rev. J. C. Greene on Octo ber 1. The bride was attired in i navy blue slut with black ac cessories. Mrs. Yonce Is a graduate ol the 1947 class of Franklin High School. The young couple are making their home in Frankl.n. C. and the lat; Mrs. Davis was married tc Homer Norton, son of Mrs. Mar gie Norton, of Franklin, Route 2, and the late Mr. Norton.
