Ervin Ammons Former ?.Uijay Resident Die* Sunday Ervin Ammons, 76, of the Norton section of Jackson County died here at Angel hos pital Sunday afternoon following an illness of several months. Funeral services were held Tues- i day at 11 a. m. at the Norton j Baptist church with the Rev. J. O. Nix officiating. Burial fol- | lowed in the church cemetery. | Born November 17, 1871, in the Ellijay section of Macon County, he was the son of the late Williaan and Margaret Mashbui.i Ammons. He was married to Cancle Henry, who died about two years ago. Mr. Ammons was a member of the Sugarfork Baptist church. Pallbearers were Wade Burn ette, Arthur Blackburn, Benny Led ford, Leopard Potts, John Blackburn, and Zeke Buchanan. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dock Dalton of Highlands, and Mrs. Isaac Houston of Nor ton; one son, Willie Ammons of Norton. Potts funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Date Announced For Hunt On Pi?ga*i Nation^ Forest The thirteenth annual big game hunt on the 80,000 acre P lag ah National Game Preserve will be held from November 15 through December 4, according to Clyde P. Patton, Executive Directior of the N C. Wildlife Resources Commission, and Carl ; O. Krueger, Supervisor of the Pisgah National Forest. The hunt will include only male j deer with visible antlers and bear of either sex. A total of | 1,560 authorized hunters will be | allowed one deer or one bear during the hunt. (3) Seeks to regain for the Democrats in the South a voice ~in political affairs which has been lost through the catering of Northern Democrats to minority groups.
