Seabrook of Tallahassee, Florida, have begun the erection of a twelve room summer home on Lake liequoyah. Mrs. Richard Holt, Mrs. Thomas Parker and Mrs. Roliver Baty are In Atlanta this week attending the Southeastern Beauty Trade Show which opened Monday morning for a three day showing at tne Mu nicipal Auditorium. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Edwards, of Hotel Edwards, celebrated tneir wedding anniversary last week with a two day trip to Hot Springs, N. C., and Newport, Tenn., spending the night at Newport and returning to High lands Friday by way of Gatlln burg and Newfound Gap. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edwards on the trip were Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Cox. Mrs. Eva G. Cleaveland closed her summer cottage here last week and left Sunday for her winter home In Bridgeport, Conn. She was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Henry D. West | of Franklin, stopping enroute in Atlanta for a few days' visit with Miss Frances Wright. Mary Phillips Named Editor of Mountain Trail Mary Phillips heads the Mountain Trail staff as editor for this school year, with Joyce Burnette as assistant editor. Warren Picklesimer Is art editor, and Buddy Houston, humor editor. Others on the staff are Ed Talley, advertising manager; Mary Deas Anderson, circulation manager, and Lois Potts sub scription manager. Thelma Beals is the local news reporter. Sports editor for the girls is Arnold Keener, and for the boys, Martha Holt. Movie of the month Elizabeth Newton. Jimmy i Angel Is head of the comic page and Martha Howard is club news reporter. Sar gent of Highlands and Haver ford, Pa., appears in the Octo ber number of Nature Magazine which may be seen at the li brary. Highlands Wildlife Club Represented At Durham The Highlands Wildlife Clut was represented by Norman Reese and C. E. Talley at a state meeting held at Durham October 11 and 12. All farmers can now poin the Wildlife club for a fee of $1 It was announced by Mr. Reese. A fee of $2 will be charged for non-farmers.
