NEWS about PEOPLE MRS. DOTSON HONORED AT MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER Mrs. George R. PattiUo end Miss Homer Justxe entertained at a tea a.nd miscellaneous si^jer last Saturday afternoon in Mrs. Lawrence Dot son, who before her recent mar riage was Miss Hallie Cabe The party was held at the heme of Mrs. PattiUo. A color scheme of green and white was used on both the decorations and refreshments. Mrs. Frank McCollough and Mrs. R. E. PattiUo assisted the hos tesses in serving. Forty guests called during the afternoon. MISS CLYDE BF.RRY BECOMES KRIDE OF RICHARD SLAGLti | Miss Clyde Berry, daughter of Mrs. Alec Berry and the late Mr. Berry, was married to Rich ard Elagle, son of the late Mr. and Mts. Thomas M. Slagle, Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at St. .John's Eoiscopal church on Cartoogechaya. The Rev. A. Rufus Morgan, rector qf the church, officiated, using the double ring ceremony. The church was decorated with white chrysanthemums and lighted candles. The bridal cju ple entered the church together to the strains of the w*dd .ng march (from Wagner which was played by Miss Frances Earr. The bride was attired in a teal tlU3 su'.t with w.iLh she used black accessories. Her corsage was of white rosebuds. Immediately following the ceremony, thf groom's sisters, Misses Amanda and Lucy Slagle entertained at a small recep tion at the Slagle home on Car toogechaye. The bride's table was aver- 1 laid with a lace cloth and cen tered with a three tiarcd wed J'.ng cake. Silver candelabra were u?ed on either s.de Ar angement of whl^e chrysan themums were used throughout he house. Mr. and Mrs. Slagle left on a ;hort honeymoon after which Mr. Slagle will leave for Mara ;ay, Venezuela. Mrs. Slagle will . join him there at an early date.
