t PAGE FOUR THURSDAY, NOV. 15, 1941 The Franklin Pre?? and The Highland* Maconian Will Select Macon AAA Committees Macon County farmer* next Thursday will elect community and county committees to serve In the 1949 AAA program, it was announced this week by the local AAA office. Each of the 11 communities Into which the county is divided by the AAA will elect a com mittee of five. In addition, each community w^ll elect one county delegate. These 11 county delegates will meet In Franklin the following day (Friday, December 3) to choose a county AAA committee of three members, with tow ad dStlcn&l persons chosen as al ternate members of the county committee. All (armera In he county who have participated in the 1948 AAA program are eligible to vote. Through this committee me thod, the AAA office here pointed out, the farmers help to direct the AAA programs hat are designed to conserve the soil and Increase Its fertility.
