Lex Darnell Former Macon Resident, Dies At Dillard Lex Darnell, 66, a resident of Dillard, Ga.. formerly of the Cartoogechaye section of Mfi con County, died at his home last Saturday at noon, follow ing an illness of 18 months. Funeral services were held at the Betty's Creek Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. R. B. Harrison, pastor of the Dillard Baptist church, and the Rev. Burch Fanning, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated, and interment fol lowed in the church cemetery. , Mr. Darnell was a builder and contractor and had made his home in Dillard for the past 23 years. Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Eula Burrell; nine children, Dick and Jack Darnell, of Dillard, Mrs. Hunter Callo way, of Franklin Mrs. J. C. Dusenbery and Mrs. W. P. Hughes, of Atlanta, Mrs. John Bass, Mrs. Arthur Guyton and Joe Darnell, all of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ray Darnell, of Mis soula, Mont., his mother, Mrs. A. A. Darnell, of Rabun Gap, Ga.'; and 12 grandchildren. Two brothers and four sisters also , survive.
