Mrs. Frank Hlgdon, Jr., and her friend, Miss Ann Stanbaugh, both of Haines City, Fla., ar rived Sunday to spend a two weeks' vacation with Mrs. Hlg don's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Hlgglns. Mrs. Hlgglns' sister, Mrs. J. D. Porter, of Spruce Pine, also is here for a visit, having arrived Monday. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Dan iels, of New York, have joined Mr. Daniels' parents and sister, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Daniels and Miss Hope Daniels, for a vaca tion at "Dixie Hall" here. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Lester, Mrs. R. E. Barnes, and Miss Lola Yancey, all of Raleigh, are here to see their niece, Mrs. Emory Hunnlcutt, and family. They are stopping at Kelly's Inn. Mr. and Mrs. James S. Gray and son, Eugene, of Franklin, Route 2, attended the horse show In Hendersonvllle last Friday. Urt 0. T. Fouts, of Franklin, Rout* I, who recently under went an operation at Angel hospital, has ?ufflclently recov ered to be able to return to her home this week. Mr*. Wendle Brookshlre has returned home, following a vUlt of three weeks with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle DeHart. Louis Hirsch, of New Bruns wick, N. J., is the guest of his sister, Mrs. R. O. Llchtenstein, and his mother, Mrs. louts Hirsch. Miss Amanda Slagle is visit ing her sister, Miss Lucy Slagle, in Atlanta. Mrs. Lee Leach, of Chapel Hill, and her daughter, Mrs. Helen Leach Macon, of Charlotte, both formerly of Franklin, are visit ing relatives here. Miss Helen Patton, of Monti cello, 111., is spending her vaca tion at home. At present, Dr. Kaufman Is radiologist at the Brevard Community, the Patton Memo rial, the Bat Cave, the Tryon, and the Oteen hospitals.
