Following the business meet ing, a bountiful dinner was served, and the relatives and friends spent a pleasant after noon renewing acquaintance ships and reminiscing. The following out-of-county relatives were present at a Morgan family dinner, held re cently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morgan: Mr. and Mrs. Kelley Oreen and son, Don, of High Point; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bryson and daughter, Nora Lee, of Detroit, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Cero Martin and two sons, of Baltimore, Md.; and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Par rish and family, of Bryson City. CAGLE'S CAFE Liberty A three-week revival closed at the Liberty Baptist church recently. Ministers conducting the series of services were the Rev. Clint Sawyer, the Rev. O. A. Cloer, and the Rev. Andy Buchanan. A vacation Bible school, which opened at the Liberty Baptist church 'Monday, will close tomorrow (Friday). Miss Oretchen Johnson is conducting the school. ft Iradell Hurst and P. C. Wade Shuler and Charles Raby, of Seymour, Ind., were here recently for a visit with Arthur and Theodore Raby. Mrs. Becky Ann Shepherd, of Canton, was a recent week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Morrison and family. Roger Rlckman, a senior at N. C. State college, is spending this week with his mother, Mrs. Inez Rlckman. Miss Vonnie West, who has been attending summer school, doing work tsward her master's "Hegree, Is back home. Miss Vallie West, of Raleigh, arrived home recently, and has as her guest Miss Ernestine Blanton, also of Raleigh. F. H. Bryson, of Washington state, is spending a few days with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. George Potts, of Pennsauken, N. J., Is here visit ing relatives. Floyd Downs, a member of the faculty at Berea college, ac companied by his son, Dick, is here for a visit with Mr. Downs' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Downs. Miss Jessie Lee Downs, who was graduated from Berea col lege in June, is here for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Downs. Purdom's Photo Collection On Exhibit In Atlanta An exhibit of photographs by E. S. Purdom, of the Wayah road, Is being shown during August at the High Museum of Art In Atlanta, and has proved one of the most popular fea tures at the museum, according to a news story in The Atlanta Constitution. The pictures, made during many years of following photog raphy as a hobby, depict the Southern Highlands and the region's people and crafts. Mr. Purdom's collection of photographs previously has been exhibited at the Miami annual showing of the Florida Photog raphic society, at the annual photographic salons at St. Pet ersburg and Jacksonville, Fla., and at }he Art Institute in Chicago. attended the recent DeHart family reunion In Bryson City.
