In every Christian land, children have first call on affections. Their health, their education
and their all around welfare are foremost concerns.
Yet, with it all, the greatest gift is still to be bestowed:
The gift of a world of Peace, a world that lives the ideals horn twenty
centuries ago under the Star of Rethlehein.
Is this a useless dream? No, it cannot be. The goal is too great, too rewarding. The
search may be discouraging, but let's never believe it is futile.
w ITH fresh brave hope, the civilized nations of the world have embraced the vision, and
are united as never before in a new march Peace-ward.
So determined on Peace, permanent Peace, is the free man everywhere that he is ready to
fight, ready to^lie, for this End.
Let trouble-causing rulers take thought.
Let Peace-minded nations take heart.
Let every one of us clear away our doubts.
Then, let us have faith to pray, and zeal to work, for hastening of the Day when mothers
and fathers can say to their own:
"Here is a new blessing for you. lie e is a new opportuuii v J? ?r you. And
here is a new responsibility for you ?
HERE IS A WORLD OF PEACE!
