MISS STILES WEDS ELIAS BUCHANAN The wedding of Miss Velma Stiles and Elias Buchanan, Jr., was solemnized December 22 at the home of the bride's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stiles. Oftiettti?rwas the Rev. James F. Marchman, using the double ring ceremony. Member's of the immediate families were pres ent. The bride wore a two-piece grey suit with black accessories. Her corsage was of red rose buds An informal reception was held following the ceremony. Mrs. Buchanan Is employed at the Van Raalte plant. Mr. Buchanan presently is working near Aiken, 8. C. LEDFORD Mr. and Mrs. Grady Cunning ham, of Franklin, Route 2, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Dorothy Cun ningham, to Bryant Ledford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman Ledford, also of Franklin, Route 2. The marriage was solemnized December 22 at the Macon Cir cuit Methodist parsonage. The Rev Robert L. Poindexter offi ciated, using the double ring ceremony. The bride was attired In a royal blue suit with navy ac cessories. She wore a corsage of red roses and her only orna ment was a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Mrs. Ledford is a graduate of Franklin High school and is now employed at the Van Raalte plant here. Mr. Ledford, a veteran of World War II, also is employed at the Van Raalte plant. At the club's meeting Monday afternoon a special cotmmrittee was appointed to formulate plans for erecting a large na tivity scene here next Christ mas. The committee hopes to make the project a town affair and plans to work In conjunc tion with other Franklin organ izations. Named to the committee were Mrs Harve Bryant, Mrs. W. W. Sloan, Mrs. W. D. Shuford, Mrs. Allan Brooks, and Mrs. Gus Leach. Miss Laura Jones was appoirft ed club representative to the Macon County Citizen's Com mittee for Education at the session. The education group plans to further education in the county by uniting the ef forts of various civic organiza tions. Following the business meet ing, William L.
