Rites For Shook Child Conducted At First Baptist Funeral services for Deborah Elaine Shook, two-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam L. Shook, of Franklin, were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday of last week. The child died February 11 at her parents' home. The service, held at the first Baptist church here, was con ducted by the Rev. W. N. Cook, Baptist minister, and the Rev. C. E. Murray, Franklin Metho dist pastor. Burial was in the Sugarfork cemetery. Surviving are hex parents au a young brother and slstw, Richard and Linda. 114 Girl Scouts At Rally Here One-hundred fourteen Girl Scouts attended a Nantahala area rally Saturday afternoon at Franklin High school. Troops from Franklin, Hayes ville, Sylva, Cullowhee, and Cherokee were represented. Cherokee, with 50 Scouts, had the highest attendance. Contests and skits among the various troops carried out the theme of health.
